Been a long time since I have been on AV Forums.

I have just changed my old Sony tv out for a Samsung 43" 7000 and unlike my Sony it doesn't have a headphone socket.

I use WiFi headphones all the time due to being a bit deaf so at the moment I have connected them to my Humax box with analogue connector. - So when I watch the TV I use humax for sound and vision.

Watching Youtube on the TV means the headphone won't work. I also have a soundbar connected by digital Toslink.

So my question is can the toslink be split into two, then I could put a DAC on one leg and plug the other back in the soundbar. If so do I need active or passive spliter and DAC.

Thanks

I'm not sure about the Toslink question but it might be worth investigating using Bluetooth headphones instead.

Either an adapter for your existing headphones or BT headphones could be used and it looks like your your TV should both support BT headphones and have accessibility features to allow them to be used as well as the TVs audio.
