Hi Guys
I have an old Onkyo TX-SR307 5.1 system and the Mrs wants a new TV unit and of course my current AV system will not fit so I am looking to upgrade it to a slimline unit if possible. I appreciate the smaller systems have less features but for what I plan to use it for I just want a good all round surround system.
I have an LG 4k 50 inch TV, sorry cannot see the model number as its on the wall but its only a year or so old, Sky Q box and Xbox one S, all of which I would like to connect.
I have a budget of around £350 to £400.
Ideally I would like to use the same Onkyo speakers that are in place.
I am a bit confused by all the buzz words like HDR and Dolby Atmos but from what I understand unless I upgrade my speakers to a 7.1 then I probably do not need that. I would like Amazon Alexa compatibility although will probably not use it for music that often, more TV really.
I have seen a Yamaha and Marantz system but not sure which model to go for so any help would be much appreciated.
