Video Editing Bangs per Buck

@12harry
Sorry, but I only just noticed your post. There seems to be a basic misunderstanding here regarding VEGAS Pro 19. It is actually an upgrade (with "bug fixes and new features") from VEGAS Pro 18 and it is not "completely different".

The VEGAS Movie Studio product line was discontinued in July 2021 and the last version is #17. As a replacement MAGIX (the parent company of VEGAS Creative Software since mid-2016) is now offering their Movie Studio 2022 product line (at first it was Movie Studio 18). They are totally different products based on MAGIX's Movie Edit Pro product line.

Note that VEGAS Movie Studio users can currently upgrade to VEGAS Edit 19 at a special upgrade price (or to the VPro purchase option as well). It has the same VEGAS Pro 19 core program which is in the VEGAS Pro 19 purchase option. That option just adds several 3rd party features. No need to learn a totally new program if a VEGAS MS user upgrades to VEGAS Pro as VMS was in essence a "light" version of VP.

Re refunds, unfortunately early last year MAGIX changed their cancellation policy regarding
"distance sales contracts" which now applies "only for consumers who are habitually resident in a state that is a member of the EU or the EEA". It means that displeased customers may have needed to find alternative methods to try and get refunds.
