TV has always worked great (2011) but recently has a lot of snow usually while using as computer monitor & is worse on white page. A lot of flickering & snow. Also much worse when cold or at start up. It has most recent firmware update (2220-1000) & I've set it back to defaults which has made it a little better. It works not bad after it warms up but is getting worse at start up & I figure it will fail altogether one day. I've already replaced it with a 4K LCD but I'd still like to repair it if possible & didn't cost too much. I haven't taken it apart so I have no idea what's inside. We no longer have any TV repair shops around & it's too big & heavy to take too far & I'm pretty handy if I could get some advice what to try. Thanks. Eric

You haven't said what TV repair skills you have - poking around without the basic skills could prove dangerous or worse - lethal

Any blink codes? Power supply issues are quite common.

No blink codes. It starts fine. It works better as it warms up but when it starts I see ghosts of images under whatever is on the screen as the picture flickers. When I 1st noticed it, it seemed to be just the top 3rd or worse at the top 3rd. Now it is the entire screen, although still worse at the top & seems to get worse every time it starts. Dark images or scenes in a movie (when it warms up) look pretty good but during lighter scenes or images (like a web page when used as a PC monitor) there is snow but it appears to be black snow. Not multi coloured snow just black specks. I never liked the issue of ghost images & screen burn with this TV but now that I've replaced it with an LCD (RCA RTU5540) the plasma is/was a better picture. I don't expect anyone to diagnose (properly) this TV by text & I wish I had made a small video I could attach here but it is disconnected now (I could hook it up to something I suppose) but I think I'll give it to a friend who repairs TV's as a hobby if he wants to attempt to fix it he can have it. It is so big & heavy I'd just like to get rid of it. I was hoping I could fix it & sell it but I'd be happy now if someone would take it off my hands. Thanks for your help.
