After lifts and bridges, how about a shift in location to an environment we’re all familiar with - the public bathroom? That’ll be ‘restroom’ for our U.S. friends and ‘washroom’ for any Canadian readers out there.

Gleaming white tiles to show off blood smears, rows of cubicles within which lurk unknown menaces, wash basin mirrors to reflect your haunted gaze… no wonder the latrine is a popular location for a significant scene.

So, including facilities in hotels, airports, shopping malls, office blocks and the like, what’s your favourite scene set in a public bathroom?

And because they're such a popular venue for a fight, here’s Jim Carrey getting the snot kicked out of him in Liar Liar.

A couple of classics

This scene in Witness takes some beating. And a fantastic film overall.

One of Robocop's best scenes is way more subtle than the rest of the film -

2 for me.
Daniel Craig in Casino Royale fantastic fight and The Warriors fight scene as they was trying to get back home, as this was the first movie we watched on our new video recorder and thought it was amazing.

Another new one here with Upgrade. And very much recommended if you haven't seen it.

Another favourite here. Gary and Natalie show how to get maximum tension from a scene. My first viewing of this on its original cinema release had me nearly clawing holes in the armrests!
