Pretty Polly.

Yet I'm not the one, promoting jailing someone for life over a game of golf? Don't Golfers take themselves seriously! Give someone life for Murder, Rape and many other serious offences. But for God's sake Golf!

And again the golf aspect went way over your head and then some . Have a gander at earlier posts on this thread on where members stand on the actual question in hand,. Or indeed the poll if you can be bothered to look rather than posting complete bollox .

Not only does he face jail when the facts come out about the abuse of power but his Trump Businesses will also go down the pan.

With him in power, the world has been a poorer place. I just hope he doesn't start a nuke war with China before he gets voted out.

Facts don't matter anymore. They can be fully proven and people will still choose to believe they're fake news. If it goes against what you want to believe, people won't believe them. For example, we have it proven that Boris has used racial slurs against people, but many Tory voters (seemingly the vast) majority choose to ignore it like it never happened, because accepting it, and rightfully opposing it, would mean they have to oppose BoJo. And they don't want to do that. Likewise with Trump, if/when facts come out about his abuse of power, his fans will largely ignore them (or worse try to justify them with "yes he did, BUT..." and some lame excuse why it was ok for him to do but if anyone else had done this should be given the electric chair) because acknowledging the facts and accepting he abused his power and status at the cost of lives and the well being of the American people and country will mean they have to denounce him. And they won't do it. Some will, but most won't. I mean, look at his statements about objectifying women (the whole "grab them by the..." for one, never mind the ever-long list of sexist comments and attitudes to women) and yet women STILL vote for him and defend him. It's painfully obvious to every level-headed normal person he's a far right racist/fascist, yet black and other non-white ethnic groups vote for an defend him. To about face and denounce him after said facts emerge would make them hypocrites and fools (at least publicly) so it won't happen.

Unfortunately, the world just doesn't care about decency, justice and "doing the right thing" anymore...

Did'nt play it at an impersonal level. Seems the post about the poor sod at Haigh Hall may have struck a nerve?

Oh dear , my poor ol thing . You ain't no golfer are you ? Why the silly posts exposing yourself on something you do not understand in regards to our personall game and it's goal in regards to POTUS . You had to bite evem though not understanding the posts, keep up and you might reach the 19th.

Reaching the 19th really is a threat! If all I could measure myself against was the ability to knock a ball into a hole. Then I would be a poor old thing.

The problem is they don't. They are like a baying mob. When asked to justify what they have written, they never do. From my point of view this will be my last mention of golf.
Donald Trump is a golfer, says it all!
Good night and God Bless.

That ain't the measure my ol love , ain't the measure at all . You never played this game to fully understand the Trump reference then ? Quite simple to tell a truth when putting ones politics aside . One does not need to project all the time .

Wow that golf game is a trigger , although now a defence of Trump than the last POTUS it seems . Times a changing .

It is interesting the way things are going with Trump positioning that there will be mass voting fraud. Biden in an interview considers that there is a risk that, should the vote in November be a marginal victory for Biden, Trump would not voluntarily leave the White House.

If that were to happen the neutral military would have to get involved to escort Trump out.

As crazy as that sounds in the "world's greatest democracy" - I can see Trump actually doing that.

He holes himself up in the bunker if a protestor holds up a placard in Washington.

Let him go into the bunker and seal it off. He'll soon leave when he runs out of frozen Big Macs.

They just have to disable the nuke button in the bunker first.

The only question now is who does Putin choose to be his puppet presidents through to 2036...

It's not difficult to understand his desperate quest for being elected in the first place and then clinging on like a dingleberry to avoid the litigators and creditors coming after him. He's a very yellow shade of orange.

Lawyers and investigators will be working overtime now and Trump knows it.

The knives are sharpening.

Wouldn't surprise me if he fled to Russia in February.

Or a resignation and Pence pardon

Can't be pardoned for non-federal individual state crimes
While pardons are typically given to people who have been prosecuted, pardons can cover conduct that has not yet resulted in legal proceedings.

A pardon is not reviewable by other branches of government and the president does not have to give a reason for issuing one.

A pardon wipes out a criminal conviction. A different form of executive clemency, known as a commutation, leaves the conviction intact but wipes out the punishment.

But the pardon power is not absolute. Crucially, a pardon only applies to federal crimes. That means pardons would not, for example, protect Trump associates from the criminal investigation being conducted by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, a state prosecutor.

Vance’s probe, which began more than two years ago, stemmed from hush money payments that the president’s former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen paid before the 2016 election to two women - an adult-film star and a former Playboy model - who said they had sexual encounters with Trump. Trump has denied the encounters and has said the probe is politically motivated.

The district attorney has suggested in court filings that the probe is now broader and could focus on potential bank, tax and insurance fraud, as well as falsification of business records. It is unclear what stage the investigation is at. No one has been charged with criminal wrongdoing.

And he will be charged with financial crimes in Scotland.
It turns out that the golf course paid Trump Services to run lots of things at Turberry and after that there was no money left.

doesn't he have to admit his guilt before he is granted a pardon ? that could be a stumbling block for it.
or is that an urban tale ?

He has to be convicted that doesn't require a confession but I think you are right.

A presential pardon does not cover criminal charges at a state level. He will be jailed for tax fraud in NYC.

It's all gone wrong Grommit!
