Yes indeed I have. I don't really like digitally shot movies. I prefer movies that are shot on film.i find no country to be washed out on bluray. A standard problem with digitally shot movies. Hell or high water is the same. It looks very poor on bluray but on 4k bluray with hdr it looks marvellous. It's also a really good movie. Hdr makes digital look like celluloid with deep Rich colours. Strange how we use a modern technology to make digital movies look like they did 70 years ago.

No Country for Old Men was shot on film though wasn't it?

Jaws
Star Wars (early stuff)
Contact
Pans Lab
The Descent
Anything Nolan
Anything Cameron
Alien/Aliens
Lawrence of Arabia
Shawshank
Where Eagles Dare
Children of Men
Jurassic Park

I might actually have UHD by the time any of the above comes out:D

2 and a half years since I posted above.

I finally have a 4K player/OLED TV and the only ones on the list are JP and Nolan films. (which i'll be getting soon).:censored:

Shirley some of the above has to come this year:D

The Tarantino movies. Will look stunning in 4K. Expecting things to happen around the time of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's release

The Shinning! You want to get sued!

I do like my dark night scenes in HDR so the following would be lovely

There Will Be Blood
Watchmen
Drive
The Wrestler
Taxi Driver
Seven
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Road to Perdition
Nightcrawler
Collateral
Children of Men

Watchmen is available from WowHD for £22.10 shipped

The imax scenes in The Dark Knight and Rises are superb IMO :smashin:
The fact they are such good quality to begin with, enhanced by 4k and HDR makes the quality outstanding.
The fact they are IMAX and fill the entire screens adds to the occasion.
Easily my most watched scenes since getting a 4k OLED tv last year.

I've got a few but just one I want in Atmos is Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Rocky boxset
Back to the future trilogy
Indiana Jones trilogy

Give me those and I’m happy. All in Atmos , all remastered from the negatives and fir the love of god give us cut scenes from the rocky movies

Only one movie to rule them all....
The lord of the rings extended trilogy

Has anyone heard if these films will be released in 4K soon? I think its Walt Disney Studios that owns the rights to these films.

The Rock in 4K with Atmos would be awesome.
Hopefully Con-Air and Gone in 60 seconds with have their extended cuts as well.

Fingers crossed

Its Disney so most likely not ever as they are building their own streaming platform & think consumers will happily pay for yet another streaming platform  I would love to also see Crimson Tide & Armageddon from them even Pearl Harbour all would look & sound awesome on 4K with Atmos but Disney do not seem to care for the physical format

Maybe someone could ask Jerry Bruckheimer on twitter as these are all his movies if he cannot get them on 4k UHD no-one else can!

Mate, at least put a question mark in the thread title.
You got all my hopes up and now I'm just... :(

I came into the thread ready to buy The Rock straight away

I wonder whether some of the effects might look a bit dated? Watched them all again on blu-ray and some of the effects were showing their age, as much as I enjoyed them.
