After having announced the prices for its higher-end Q90R, Q85R and Q80R QLEDs last week, Samsung has now added prices for the more affordable Q70R and Q60R models on its website. There’s confirmation too that shipping of preorders will begin on 26th March 2019.
Between the two series, the Q70R and Q60R account for a total of 11 models, aimed to suit just about every room and every requirement for anyone looking for an affordable way to experience the wide colour gamut benefits of QLED technology.

The main differences between the Q70R and Q60R models are that the Q60Rs drop down from the 48 zone Full Array Local Dimming panels of the Q70Rs and use edge-lit backlighting which is less effective for HDR, and that only the Q70Rs feature the Quantum processor for AI upscaling of content.
Neither range features the ultra-wide viewing angles of the higher specced Q90R, Q85R, Q80R models but this shouldn’t too much of a problem in rooms such as kitchens and bedrooms where a good deal of these TVs are aimed at and where the audiences will be of a limited number.
